TREATMENT

Spider and varicose veins can be a signal of a disorder in the circulatory system. Because of this, general health questions, medical history, and a physical exam are important components in ruling out a serious circulatory condition.

At VeinPros, we take typically perform a sonogram on the legs of our patients to better determine the presence of leaking valves or blood clots. Based on your particular diagnosis and special circumstances, we’ll devise the best course of treatment.

Ambulatory Phlebectomy

This procedure may be performed in conjunction with endovenous laser vein treatment or other therapies for varicose veins.

The Procedure

Under local anesthetic and sterile technique, multiple small incisions are made along the course of the enlarged veins. The veins are then removed using a small instrument similar to a small crochet hook. There is usually very little discomfort. The leg is wrapped and the incisions heal with minimal scarring.

"You are genuinely a caring, gentle doctor and you and your staff are always concerned about my comfort and well-being during and after the procedure." - Rita V.
